In the spring of 2021 my husband and I moved our family from southern Ontario

The intention of this weekend is to nurture yourself with good company and rest and nourish yourself with yummy food and fun movement on the magical shores of Lake Huron.

This weekend is about deep and meaningful conversations while exploring your fun movement to help you bring strength and connection to your body. All while being at this magical location on the north shore of Lake Huron. The sunset views are breathtaking, and the landscape is ever-changing making every day and even every moment something new to take in.

Arrive Thursday afternoon, and get yourself settled. Go for a walk, sit by the lake, and have a little rest and then we will all come together for our first dinner and introductions. You can spend the rest of the night either cozy by a fire, resting in your room, or taking in the night sky.

Friday and Saturday we will do an assortment of activities, like getting outside for a walk, doing a movement class, and workshops learning about how your relationship with food and body is about so much more than food and body! We will have meals together, and close the days out with restoring practices. There will be plenty of time for you to explore the area, get out for a paddle, or a walk, or just sit and enjoy the view and a book! This time away is yours to enjoy, so you are welcome to spend your time as you like.

Sunday morning we will close out the weekend together with a little ceremony and brunch. It will be a weekend to remember!

“Joy is honest, wise, knowledgeable and extremely non-judgmental. We discussed body image, diet mentality, compulsive behaviours and food, which set me on a deeper journey toward finally making peace with my body. I’m still on that journey, but I am now attending regular yoga classes, feeling more comfortable and strong in my body than I have in a long time, and continuing to work on the old ideas that have kept me at war with food and my body for far too long. I would not be here without Joy.”
